In a stunning act of irony, extremely wealthy billionaire Warren Buffett is planning to partner up with Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton as part of her “Everyday Americans” campaign. The support for Clinton comes despite the fact that Buffett had previously vowed not to lend his support to large political action committees.

Buffett said during an interview, “I think that she is the most likely person to be president of the United States, elected in 2016, and I’m going to vote for her.”

Also in the interview, Buffett admitted that it was a mistake on Clinton’s part to make jokes regarding her usage of a personal email address and private web server while she served as the Secretary of State.

“I don’t think it was the best way to handle it,” he said.

However, Buffet also added that the email scandal was not very concerning to him personally. In the end, he pledged his support to Clinton for 2016. Later this month, the billionaire is set to appear with Clinton in a political rally in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. Buffett previously donated to the “Ready for Hillary” group in 2014.

According to Clinton campaign staffers, the Omaha visit is an effort to “organize grassroots support in Nebraska”. At the rally, Clinton will discuss her planned tax reform, which will increase the amount of income taxes placed on America’s wealthiest citizens.

Iowa will be the first state to hold Democratic presidential primaries on February 1st of next year. Nebraska will hold theirs shortly after on March 5th.

Still, it’s quite jarring that Clinton would choose Buffett as a representative of her “Everyday Americans” campaign. While it’s true that Buffet will have a hometown advantage in Omaha, the billionaire is hardly an “everyday American”.

Out of all the remaining presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton has the lowest “honesty” rating.
