Deluded terror organization ISIS is known for its heavy use of propaganda. It’s latest effort to mask a starving population, pervasive sex slavery and human rights abuses is showcasing a luxury hotel in the Iraqi city of Mosul.
While it may look like any other top resort in Iraq, the Ninawa International Hotel in Mosul has one major difference. It is the first 5-star hotel for Islamic State jihadists. It includes a swimming pool and tennis court but predictably no bar.
The battlefield is a place of few comforts, so ISIS has decided to re-open a luxury hotel in conquered territory to give its jihadists a bit of a break.
The Ninawa International Hotel in Mosul used to be one of the most luxurious in Iraq, catering to foreign guests and local dignitaries. However, its 262 rooms will now be used exclusively by members of the extremist terror group.
The terrorist organization’s black and white flags can be seen flying in multiple locations around the complex.
Showing how bizarre the group’s ideals are, the hotel underwent a facelift ahead of its grand re-opening on May 1st in order to get rid of decorative pieces of stone work, which were destroyed by stone masons.
Given that the hotel is likely to only attract the elite within the IS leadership, due to the cost of renting rooms, which is almost $100, experts believe the re-opening is nothing more than a gimmick.
The re-opening of the hotel is one of the latest moves by the ISIS to try to portray life running as normal in the areas under its control in Iraq and Syria.
International observers have found the opposite to be true, with chronic food and energy shortages plaguing areas the group controls. The terrorists also encourage child sex slavery, routinely abducting women and children for sex. Loose discipline is another daily reality for those living under ISIS, with senior officials constantly stealing property from those under their control.
In short, life under ISIS is nothing like they portray it to be.
