Moschino Photoshop F#@!* Up!

Moschino, the Italian fashion label, unveiled a new campaign. In the shot, a model’s leg is completely missing!

This comes at a time when the use of Photoshop in print ads is receiving more and more animadversion. An increasing number of people are protesting strongly that Photoshop is creating a fake vision of people’s actual looks. They also argue that the self-consciousness of young girls is being damaged most by this deceptive view of women. Basically, it is just some minor alterations which are done, such as removal of blemishes, making models appear slightly thinner or cutting off a little cellulite. This ad took it to a whole new level to make the aforementioned model lose weight though, and in the process a colossal blooper that cannot easily be missed was made – obliteration of an entire limb.

Perhaps this is their way of fighting the wide use of Photoshop in the fashion world. Since Moschino is a little risque, for the most part, who knows?
