As both Affleck and Lopez are newly single, it has been said that the reunion is “good for both of them right now.”
The two have been spending time together because of their similar state of mind and single-status. Breakup with J Lo’s former fiancé, Alex Rodriguez and Affleck’s split from Ana De Armas has brought the once iconic duo back together.
April 15th a statement was made announcing the mutual end of their engagement. Additionally, in January this year, Affleck and De Amras also called it quits. It has been said that J Lo and Affleck rekindled their love affair via email!

The pair first hit it off in 2002 on the set of Gigli. The two played gangsters who fell in love while attempting to abduct a ‘neurodivergent’ man. Despite the movie being a flop, their relationship was not.
November of the same year brought wedding bells. Affleck proposed with a 6-carat pink diamond. Although they never addressed when they fell in love, J Lo said they were ‘friends first’.
The big day was planned for September 2003 however, the pair never made it to the altar. The cancellation came days before the ceremony due to “excessive media attention”.
The official break up came only a few months after in January 2004. Then Lopez married Marc Anthony in June 2004 while Affleck moved his attention to Jenifer Garner in the same year.
Although the two weren’t able to make it work, they have always been kind and friendly toward one another. “We just happened to be together at the birth of the tabloids… it was a lot of pressure.” J Lo said to PeopleTV’s in 2016.
The wholesome relationship between J Lo and Affleck continued. In February 2020, Affleck said to the New York Times she should have been given an Oscar nod for her work in Hustlers.
Additionally, in 2021 Affleck described her to InStyle as “the hardest working person I’ve come across in this business.”
April 2021 Affleck was spotted in a white SUV, assumed to be heading to visit Lopez. Fast forward to now the two has confirmed to be spending time together.
Many people have speculated that it “won’t be a surprise if they end up together.” From Montana to Miami, the duo have been spotted numerous times together in the month of May.
