The Friends Reunion – What To Expect
We have been patiently waiting since February 2020 for the Friends reunion and it’s finally here! Here is everything you need to know about the reunion!
We are finally getting the chance to reunite with the whole gang! However, it may not be what you think. Here is what to expect from the Friends reunion.
The Friends REunion
With the recent trailer drop, many of us may be wondering if we are going to see the characters we know and love back on the screen. Unfortunately, It isn’t going to be exactly like that.
It Is a Cast Reunion NOT a Character Reunion
The trailer shows us that we are going to see the whole gang but as they are in real life not in the show. All the cast members are coming together to visit the set, relive iconic scenes and talk about their experiences.
The show finished in 2004 and according to David Schwimmer (Ross) the six actors had not been in the same room together in nine years!
“In the 17 years since we wrapped, we’ve seen each other, like, one or two people, but the whole cast hasn’t been together in quite some time” he said.
The Friends reunion will be highlights of the strong bonds, emotional rides and hard work that went into over 10 years of production.
“It goes beyond the work and what the show was, which was in and of itself just a spectacular phenomenon.” Jennifer Aniston said.
Who Is The Host Of The Reunion?
None other than the hilarious James Corden will be the host of the reunion. He will be speaking to the group in a sit-down interview in front of a live audience.
Corden told them the impact of the show was beyond entertainment.
“I know how big the show is, what you have given so many people is an experience of huge comfort. We felt like we had these friends” he said.
What To Expect From The Friends Reunion
The main premise of the the reunion is to enjoy a walk down memory lane. The whole point is to reminisce about all the wonderful times.
The cast will visit Sound Stage 24 at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California. Now commonly referred to as the Friends Stage.
The trailer shorts glimpses of the apartments and the Central Perk Coffee Shop. With each cast member sharing their memories about the show as well as their lives during filming.
In addition to sharing memories, we will hear untold stories and have some of our questions answered. It is meant to give the fans an opportunity to learn more about the show and its characters.
“Were Ross and Rachel on a break?” – asks host, James Corden.
We will also be revisiting the shows most iconic scenes. Friends fans will be able to see the moment when everyone found out about Monica and Chandler’s relationship.
Additionally, the cast will be doing a read-through of some of the most popular episodes.
Not only will we see the Friends cast, there will be plenty of special guests! The trailer showed, Tom Selleck (Richard) , Maggie Wheeler (Janice) and many others.
When and Where Will It Air?
Only a few more days! We can watch the reunion on May 27th with HBO Max.
