Do you have the vaccine and are looking for some fun things to do this summer? Chicago is offering an exclusive concert series only for those fully vaccinated.
Finally, there are more options! On Wednesday the city announced the Protect Chicago Music Series. Bringing music events for both indoor and outdoor venues all over the city this month.
This creative incentive is to encourage the people of Chicago to get the vaccine. “We will never mandate that Chicagoans get a vaccine…” the Chicago Department of Public Health stated.
When are chicago’s exclusive concert series taking place?
Hyde Park, Saturday, May 22, will be the first event. Additionally, DJ Ron Trent and Duane Powell are headlining the event and tickets will be available via Eventbrite.
Tickets for this event will be available as soon as Monday at noon.
Announcements for additional dates and artists will occur within the coming weeks.

In order to attend the events you must bring your CDC vaccination record card and a photo ID.

The city has loosened COVID restrictions in part of its reopening stage. Chicago’s target date for full reopening is July 4th.

Chicago Department of Public Health Commissioner Dr. Allison Arwady has mentioned a potention “Vax Pass”. As a result, could give special benefits for people who are fully vaccinated.
However, a vaccine passport won’t be necessary in Chicago or the state of Illinois. State officials rather offer incentives like discounts, exclusive events and giveaways!
