Why Do Doctors Keep Overlooking Endometriosis?

Understanding Endometriosis and Its Challenges

Endometriosis is a painful condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus. This tissue responds to the menstrual cycle by thickening and breaking down, but it has no way to exit the body. As a result, it can cause inflammation, scarring, and severe pain. Despite affecting millions of women worldwide, endometriosis is frequently undiagnosed or misdiagnosed, leaving many to suffer for years without proper treatment.

Why Endometriosis is Frequently Misdiagnosed

One of the biggest challenges with endometriosis is that its symptoms mimic other common conditions. Doctors may attribute pelvic pain, painful periods, and gastrointestinal distress to conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), urinary tract infections, or even anxiety. This misattribution can delay proper diagnosis by years. On average, women wait between four and eleven years before receiving an accurate diagnosis.

Additionally, there is a historical bias in medicine that downplays women’s pain. Many women report being told that their menstrual pain is “normal” or that they are overreacting. This dismissive attitude discourages patients from seeking further medical help, prolonging their suffering and complicating their treatment.

The Role of Medical Bias in Delayed Diagnosis

Women’s health issues have long been under-researched and underfunded. Many medical studies historically focused on men, leaving gaps in understanding conditions that predominantly affect women. Endometriosis is no exception. Because the disease can only be definitively diagnosed through laparoscopy, an invasive surgical procedure, doctors are often hesitant to pursue it as a first-line diagnosis. Instead, they may prescribe painkillers or birth control to mask symptoms rather than investigating the root cause.

Moreover, racial and socioeconomic disparities further impact diagnosis rates. Studies suggest that Black and Latina women are less likely to be diagnosed with endometriosis compared to white women, despite experiencing similar symptoms. This disparity highlights the need for greater awareness and education among healthcare providers to ensure all women receive proper care.

The Consequences of Late Diagnosis

Delaying diagnosis and treatment can have severe consequences for those with endometriosis. Without intervention, the condition can progress, leading to chronic pain, organ damage, and infertility. Many women with undiagnosed endometriosis struggle with debilitating symptoms that affect their work, relationships, and mental health. The frustration of not being taken seriously by doctors can lead to anxiety, depression, and feelings of helplessness.

Additionally, women seeking fertility treatments may only discover they have endometriosis after years of unsuccessful attempts to conceive. By that time, their reproductive health may have already been significantly affected, reducing their chances of a successful pregnancy.

How the Medical Community Can Do Better

To improve outcomes for women with endometriosis, healthcare providers must listen to their patients and take their pain seriously. Medical professionals should:

  1. Improve education and training – Doctors and medical students should receive comprehensive training on recognizing and diagnosing endometriosis.
  2. Trust patient experiences – Women’s pain and symptoms should not be dismissed or downplayed. If a patient describes severe pain, doctors should investigate further instead of assuming it’s a normal part of menstruation.
  3. Use early and non-invasive diagnostic tools – While laparoscopy is the gold standard for diagnosis, imaging techniques like ultrasound and MRI can sometimes detect endometrial implants. These should be utilized more frequently in suspected cases.
  4. Advocate for more research and funding – Greater investment in endometriosis research could lead to better diagnostic methods and more effective treatments.
  5. Encourage open conversations – Patients should feel comfortable discussing their symptoms without fear of being ignored or dismissed.

Empowering Women to Advocate for Themselves

Because the medical system has often failed women with endometriosis, self-advocacy is essential. Women experiencing severe menstrual pain, pain during intercourse, infertility, or unexplained gastrointestinal issues should:

  • Keep a symptom diary to track patterns and severity.
  • Seek second or third opinions if their symptoms are dismissed.
  • Educate themselves on endometriosis and its symptoms to better communicate with doctors.
  • Join support groups and advocacy organizations to connect with others facing similar challenges.

Conclusion

Endometriosis is a serious and often debilitating condition that has been overlooked for far too long. Women deserve to have their pain acknowledged and addressed with urgency. By challenging medical biases, pushing for better diagnostic tools, and empowering women to advocate for themselves, we can ensure that fewer women suffer in silence. It’s time for the medical community to take women’s health seriously and prioritize early, accurate diagnosis of endometriosis.

Tariffs and Trump’s Economic Impact on the U.S.

How Trump’s Economic Policies and Tariffs Are Shaking the U.S.

The U.S. economy is experiencing significant turbulence as a result of President Donald Trump’s tariffs, trade, and fiscal policies. Stock markets have reacted negatively to escalating trade tensions, with the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average both experiencing sharp declines following tariff announcements. These economic shifts raise concerns about the long-term stability of the economy and, more importantly, how they impact working-class Americans.

Understanding Tariffs: A Hidden Tax on Americans

One of Trump’s most controversial economic policies is his aggressive use of tariffs—taxes on imported goods. These tariffs are designed to protect domestic industries but often backfire by increasing costs for American businesses and consumers. Despite Trump’s claims, American companies importing goods bear the financial burden. This cost is passed on to consumers through higher prices on everyday products.

The recent tariff hikes—25% on Canada and Mexico, and an increase to 20% on Chinese goods—have led to inflationary pressures, squeezing household budgets further. For working-class Americans, who already allocate a larger portion of their income to necessities, this means paying more for groceries, utilities, and essential goods.

What Other Countries Think About America’s Trade Policies

Internationally, Trump’s trade policies have strained relationships with key allies and economic partners. Countries like Canada, Mexico, and China have responded with retaliatory tariffs, making American exports more expensive and less competitive in foreign markets. This has hurt industries reliant on global trade, like agriculture and manufacturing, causing job losses in Trump-supporting regions.

The European Union and other global powers have also expressed concern over America’s increasing economic isolationism. While Trump promotes an “America First” approach, the reality is that economic interdependence is crucial for long-term prosperity. Cutting off trade avenues and imposing harsh tariffs ultimately weakens America’s standing in the global economy, making it harder for businesses to thrive and for workers to secure stable employment.

How the Trump Administration’s Economic Policies & Tariffs Harm Working-Class and Impoverished Americans

Beyond tariffs, Trump’s economic policies have overwhelmingly favored the wealthy while neglecting the working class. His administration’s tax cuts primarily benefited corporations and the highest-income earners, widening the wealth gap while offering little relief to average American families. His cuts to social programs, including food assistance and healthcare, have made it harder for low-income individuals to survive.

Furthermore, the administration’s push for deregulation has weakened labor protections and allowed corporations to prioritize profits over worker safety and fair wages. The rollback of worker rights, combined with rising costs due to tariffs and inflation, has put many middle- and lower-income Americans in an even more precarious financial position.

How Working-Class Americans Can Strengthen the Economy

Despite these challenges, working-class Americans have the power to support policies and initiatives that foster economic stability. Here are a few ways individuals can help strengthen the economy:

  1. Support Local Businesses: Purchasing from small, locally owned businesses keeps money circulating within the community and reduces dependence on imported goods affected by tariffs.
  2. Advocate for Fair Wages: Supporting policies that push for a higher minimum wage and stronger labor protections can help level the economic playing field.
  3. Vote for Pro-Worker Policies: Engaging in local and national elections to support candidates who prioritize economic policies benefiting the working class is essential for long-term financial well-being.
  4. Stay Informed on Economic Issues: Understanding how policies like tariffs and tax cuts impact daily life empowers individuals to make informed financial and political decisions.

The Bigger Picture: Moving Toward a Fairer Economy

The economic instability caused by Trump’s policies highlights the need for a more balanced approach to economic growth—one that prioritizes the well-being of all Americans, not just the wealthy. By understanding the effects of tariffs and advocating for fair wages, Americans can support policies that strengthen the middle class. These actions help create a more equitable and sustainable economy.

Trump Pauses Military Aid to Ukraine, Pressuring Zelensky for Peace Talks

President Donald Trump has halted U.S. military aid to Ukraine, a move widely seen as an attempt to pressure Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky into accepting concessions favorable to Russia. The decision follows a heated Oval Office confrontation between Trump, Zelensky, and U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, during which Trump reportedly expressed frustration with Ukraine’s resistance to negotiations that could end the war but on terms dictated by Moscow.

Trump Freezes Aid, Calls for ‘Peace’ Talks

The White House confirmed on Monday that all U.S. military assistance not yet inside Ukraine is now on hold. A senior administration official stated that Trump remains committed to achieving “peace” but insists that Ukraine must be willing to negotiate. Critics argue that this strategy is less about securing peace and more about forcing Ukraine into an unfavorable settlement with Russia.

“We are reviewing our aid to ensure it contributes to a long-term solution,” the official said. However, many view this as an ultimatum, as Trump has increasingly echoed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s claims about the war. He has falsely accused Ukraine of instigating the conflict and labeled Zelensky as an ungrateful leader.

A War That Has Devastated Ukraine

Since Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022, Ukraine has suffered immense destruction. Cities have been reduced to rubble, millions have been displaced, and tens of thousands of civilians and soldiers have died. The war is a fight for Ukraine’s sovereignty, as Russia seeks to expand its control over eastern territories and undermine the Ukrainian government.

Western nations, including the U.S., have played a crucial role in supplying Ukraine with weapons, intelligence, and financial support. Ukraine has managed to push back Russian advances with the help of Western-provided long-range missiles and advanced artillery. However, the war remains a brutal, grinding conflict with no clear resolution in sight.

Tense Oval Office Meeting: Zelensky Clashes with Trump and Vance

The breaking point came last Friday when Zelensky met with Trump and Vice President Vance in the Oval Office. Sources familiar with the meeting say Zelensky resisted Trump’s insistence that Ukraine consider territorial concessions to Russia. Trump reportedly grew frustrated, stating, “You’re not acting thankful. It’s not a nice thing.”

Vance, a relatively new Trump loyalist, backed the president, suggesting that Ukraine should be more flexible if it wants continued U.S. support. Zelensky firmly rejected the notion, emphasizing that giving in to Russian demands would betray the Ukrainian people and reward aggression.

Following the meeting, Trump privately expressed his belief that withholding aid would bring Ukraine to the negotiating table. The White House confirmed that any future military support would be contingent on Ukraine signaling a willingness to engage in discussions on Russia’s terms.

Global Reaction and the Impact on the Battlefield

The decision to freeze aid has drawn sharp criticism from European allies. The United Kingdom and France reaffirmed their support for Ukraine, with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stating, “Ukraine’s fight is our fight. We cannot allow Russia to dictate the terms of peace.”

Analysts warn that the aid freeze could be disastrous for Ukraine’s war effort. While European nations are attempting to compensate for the shortfall, they lack the scale of support that the U.S. provides. Without crucial American weapons, Ukraine may struggle to maintain its current defensive positions.

“The impact is going to be big. I would call it crippling,” said Mark Cancian, a military strategist at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. He estimates that Ukraine could sustain its fighting capacity for only a few more months before the lack of U.S. assistance severely weakens its defenses. If the pause extends, Ukraine may be forced to retreat in key areas, making a Russian victory more likely.

Republicans Split on Trump’s Decision

Trump’s move has divided the Republican Party. Some, like Senator Markwayne Mullin, support the aid freeze, arguing that the U.S. should not fund an endless war. “American taxpayers are tired of footing the bill,” Mullin said, insisting that Ukraine must negotiate an end to the conflict.

Others, like Senator Susan Collins, have denounced the decision. “This is a critical time for Ukraine. We cannot abandon them,” she said, warning that allowing Russia to succeed would embolden authoritarian regimes worldwide.

What’s Next for Ukraine?

For now, Ukraine must navigate an increasingly precarious situation. Without U.S. military aid, the country will face mounting challenges in defending its territory. Zelensky remains defiant, refusing to concede to Russian demands. However, with Trump’s administration holding firm, Ukraine’s future remains uncertain.

The war has already caused immense suffering, and Trump’s latest move raises serious concerns about America’s long-term commitment to Ukraine’s defense. While the White House frames it as a push for peace, critics argue that it’s an attempt to force Ukraine into surrendering to Russian aggression. The coming months will determine whether Ukraine can withstand the pressure or be forced into an unfavorable settlement.

Carolina Wildfires Has Scorched 5,400 Acres So Far

Parts of the Carolinas remain shrouded in thick, smoky haze on Monday as firefighters battle dozens of active wildfires. Despite a slight improvement in conditions, smoke continues to linger across the region, impacting air quality and visibility.

Horry County Fire Rescue warned residents about heavy smoke covering the area. “This smoke will limit visibility for both motorists and residents,” the department shared on Facebook.

The Carolina Wildfires Spread

In South Carolina, the Carolina wildFire, burning five miles north of Myrtle Beach, has grown to 1,600 acres. It is currently 30% contained. Meanwhile, the state is grappling with 163 fires that have scorched over 5,400 acres, according to the South Carolina Forestry Commission.

Experts attribute the severity of these fires to rising temperatures and prolonged dry spells. The U.S. Geological Survey highlights the role of climate change, noting that higher temperatures and drier conditions have exacerbated wildfire activity in recent years.

Increased Risk Despite Cooler Temperatures

Although temperatures will be cooler on Monday, the threat remains high due to dry vegetation and air. The National Weather Service issued a warning, saying, “Another dry day will increase the risk of wildfires, despite light winds and cooler-than-usual temperatures.”

The dry conditions have already led to a statewide burn ban, enforced on Saturday after fires flared up across South Carolina. A few of the fires have been contained, and many residents who evacuated have been allowed to return to their homes.

State of Emergency Declared

In a bid to support firefighting efforts, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster declared a state of emergency on Sunday. The declaration ensures that resources and support are available to contain the wildfires across the state.

The wildfire threat is not just confined to South Carolina. Areas near Wilmington, North Carolina, and Columbia, South Carolina, remain under threat. The National Weather Service continues to issue advisories as both states fight wildfires.

A Growing Wildfire Problem

Wildfires are unfortunately common in the Carolinas. South Carolina typically experiences around 5,000 wildfires annually, burning nearly 30,000 acres of land. Similarly, North Carolina saw 4,588 fires in 2024, which scorched more than 15,000 acres.

In western North Carolina, a brush fire near Tryon and Saluda spread rapidly after a power line fell. The fire quickly climbed a mountain, endangering nearby structures. By Sunday evening, the fire had burned over 500 acres and was 30% contained.

Authorities evacuated some residents of the Tryon area on Saturday. “Expect a strong presence of fire crews in areas such as Bear Creek and Hanging Rock,” Saluda Fire and Rescue warned.

A flight passenger captured disturbing footage of the wildfires from the air, showing plumes of smoke and fire spiraling into the sky. “It was quite terrifying to fly home to,” passenger Becca Ann told CNN.

North Carolina’s Buncombe County also faced two wildfires on Saturday, adding to the strain on firefighting resources in the region.

Climate Change and Its Role in Carolina Wildfires

The climate in the Carolinas has grown warmer over the past 30 years, creating more favorable conditions for fires. According to the South Carolina Office of Resilience’s 2023 report, this period has been the warmest in history. Additionally, summer precipitation has decreased significantly, further drying out vegetation and fueling fire growth.

In contrast, while North Carolina has seen an increase in extreme rainfall, rising temperatures have worsened drought conditions, according to the state’s Climate Science Report.

The impact of climate change on wildfire intensity is evident. Research from the University of California, Los Angeles, shows that while wildfires would still occur in the absence of climate change, they would be less severe. The combination of rising temperatures, droughts, and dry vegetation has made the fires much larger and more destructive.

On Saturday night, fire crews rushed to contain a large wooded fire near Myrtle Beach, a well-known tourist destination. Several homes in the Carolina Forest area were evacuated as firefighters worked to control the blaze.

Despite milder winds and cooler temperatures on Sunday, the wildfire risk remains high. Dry air and vegetation continue to pose significant challenges for fire containment across the Carolinas and parts of northeast Georgia.

Looking ahead, lighter winds will persist through Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to warm to near 60 degrees, with more humid air returning to the region, which could further contribute to wildfire growth.

As fire crews continue their work and conditions remain unpredictable, residents across the Carolinas are urged to stay vigilant. The battle against the wildfires is far from over, and continued precautions will be necessary to protect lives and property.

The Equestrian Capital, Wellington Florida and Everything You Need To Know

Who would have thought, the equestrian capital of the world, would be little Wellington Florida? The whose who in the equestrian industry comes down for the season to partake in Grand Prix shows or events at the Polo club. Here is everything you need to know about Wellington Florida.

Russian Equestrian Hospitalized After Riding Accident

Inessa Merkulova is in a medically induced coma following an accident that took place in Germany.

Inessa Merkulva has had a successful 20 year career as a Grand Prix dressage rider representing her country, Russia. She has competed in 5 World Equestrian Games, 5 Dressage World Cups and 3 European Dressage Championships. She was chosen as fan favorite at Rio after sharing her pre-competition prep which consists of reading her horse, Mister X, Fifty shades Of Grey. Mister X and Merkulva were awarded best pair at the Equestrian Federation of Russia Awards in 2018.

Most recently, she qualified to compete at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. This was the first time since 1992 Barcelona Olympics that Russia had a qualifying team. Additionally, they were the only Russian team for all 3 of the equestrian disciplines to qualify at the 2020 Olympics.

In January of 2020, the 55 year old fell off her horse at her facility in Germany. She spent 4 weeks in an induced-coma. Although she did not have any head trauma, she severely injured her chest. She had several fractures and a bilateral pneumothorax. She was not permitted to move and therefore doctors put her into an artificial coma.

By March, she was sent to a rehabilitation center in Hamburg. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, she was able to return to Germany and further her recovery. As of April, Innessa has not been able to return to the saddle, but is walking and going on short runs to help her regain her strength.

Fast forward to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics where Inessa was able to compete for the Russian Dressage team. She went on to place 31st individually and placed 12th in the team competition. A truly remarkable recovery from Inessa.

The Importance Of Core Protection

Just like Inessa Merkulova, many have faced serious injuries to their neck, spine, chest, ribs, tailbone and even inner organs. Many of these unfortunate accidents have resulted in death and permanent disability.

It shines light on the importance of protecting your core. In disciplines like eventing and cross-country, rigid protectors are often mandatory. However, they don’t offer optimal protection of vital areas. Recent technological advancements have brought personal airbag systems for equestrians. Many riders, even in dressage, are opting for these air vests.

Not only do they protect you from neck to tailbone, they lesson the impact and prevent whiplash. Many of them are meant to be worn in addition to a rigid protector and of course, a helmet. Although these air vests are an investment with prices ranging from several hundred to a thousand, they are crucial for protection. Whether you are a recreational rider, training or in competition, maintaining safety is of the upmost importance.

Tiggy Hancock – Rising Equestrian Star’s Tragic Death

The death of an exceptionally talented young person, hit the equestrian community like a ton of bricks. The inspiring and ambitious Tiggy Hancock met a tragic end while doing what she loved most – riding her ponies.

Tiggy Hancock was just 15 years old when she passed away. She only began eventing in the fall of 2018 and she was described as a “rising star in showjumping events.” Tiggy was from Bagenalstown, Co Carlow in Ireland, where she was able to grow up riding horses. From a very young age, Tiggy was part of the equestrian community. She was part of the Kilkenny Hunt Pony Club and became a successful hunter pony competitor.

Horse Sport Ireland said “Tiggy was a highly talented young athlete and a respected member of our pony high performance eventing programme. She only began eventing in 2018 and made an immediate mark on the sport.”

Through her career, she was chosen to represent Ireland at the under-16 European Team Championships held in Poland. At the event, Tiggy and her team received a bronze medal.

Recently, Tiggy gained even more respect from her community and senior equestrians. At the Coppenagh Spring Sparrow, she was able to place just outside the podium. Thus beating out seasoned athletes who have competed at global levels.

tigy hancock

“Everyone in the society is shocked and saddened by the untimely death of one of our beloved members, Tiggy Hancock. The IPS wishes to extend our deepest sympathies to her family and many friends.” A statement posted on Facebook from The Irish Pony Society.

Tributes and condolences poured in for the young equestrian and her family. Many members of the community are devastated at such a tragic death of a young person with exceptional abilities.

How Did Tiggy Hancock Die?

Tiggy died On Wednesday, June 16th 2021, after a devastating accident at Greenogue, Dublin during a squad training event. It has been said that at a jump, Tiggy fell from a horse jump and was severely injured.

She was taken to Our Lady’s Hospital in Crumlin but unfortunately passed away. As support for her friends, family and team mates pour in, a police investigation is underway.

The family made a request for privacy and has not disclosed the exact cause of death.

A friend took to Facebook to express their condolences “Her passion for her ponies and horses could not be unmatched, but more so the truly inspiration little lady that is Tiggy touched so many lives giving only joy with that huge smile that always beamed from her. We all miss you Tiggy Hancock, you have taken a piece of all of our hearts. We hope you are in you ultimate pony heaven.”

How Dangerous Is Eventing?

Eventing is an equestrian event that involves 3 disciplines: dressage, show jumping and cross-country. A mastery of all these disciplines is required not only by the rider, but horse as well.

Eventing is considered on of the more risky disciplines within the equestrian sport. It can be very dangerous because it requires extensive training in 3 different categories.

Dressage being the least risky and cross-country being the most risky. In a cross-country event, riders must travel through fields at high speeds on horse back, jumping over natural and stages obstacles. Some jumps do not come apart which can cause of serious injuries. If a horse hits, stumbles or spooks during show-jumping or cross-country the rider could be ejected from the horse which can cause serious injury. Additionally, riders can be crushed, kicked or trampled after falling from a spooked horse.

In cross country it is often mandatory to wear body protectors. These are foam vests that help absorb any impact from a fall. However, they only protect a small portion of the body and don’t protect against potential crush. An option many eventers opt for are air vests. These vests go over the body protector and some even are compatible with show jackets to be worn in all events. In the event of a fall, the air vest deploys an airbag that inflates before ground impact.

Combining an air vest and body protector is an equestrians best defense against potential injury.

Equestrian Air Vests: Should You Wear One?

The topic of equestrian air vests has entered many the conversation for riders all over the world. Many of us know a person who has delt with serious injury, whether it’s from a sport or an accident. Helmets are normalized amongst riders but should air vests be as well?

In disciplines like cross-country, riders are required to wear a ASTM/SEI-certified body protector and a helmet. Although the removal of permanent obstacles like water and bank jumps has reduced the risk of injury, there is always a chance.

A popular argument is that although newer protective equipment may be helpful, it could also give riders a false sense of security. This could then lead them to participate in activities that may be beyond their skill level. Snowboarders with helmets may decide to go faster or do larger jumps. Despite lower risk of head injury, the risk of other related injuries could increase.

Should you wear an equestrian air vest?

Although they aren’t required, the added safety measure can boost the confidence of any rider. However, will this make riders more daring and try things way outside the scope of their abilities?

Know Your Limitations And Understand Any Risk

Everyone is different. This means that everyone has a different health and risk outline. An injury occurring to a 60 year old will be very different than that of a 20 year old. A tough horse may be easier to ride by someone with 20+ years experience than a rider with only 3 years experience. Additionally, all disciplines carry their own set of risk as well. Cross-country and dressage are two completely different sports and pose much different risks. How much safety equipment, aside from a helmet, should a rider depend on? This depends on the riders abilities, experience and risk preference.

Although research is ongoing, equestrian air vests have shown that they provide significant protection from injuries. However, a protective air vest is no substitution for understanding the rider or the horse’s limitations. Additionally, using a vest or protective jacket shouldn’t give a rider a false sense of confidence that pushes them too far past their abilities. Protective gear does not make a better athlete.

What Role Will Equestrian Air Vests Play In The Future?

Should airbag vests be mandatory for competitions just as riding helmets are? Equestrian air vests are an investment, good quality and reliable ones are not cheap. The prices range from $300 to $1000 for trusted brands. These protective garments are an extra layer of clothing and some may be bulky or difficult to wear. These vests protect against injuries, but there is always a risk. Currently, riders who wear air vests can determine when and in which circumstance the vest is needed.

Studies have shown that safety equipment and advancements in technology or design continue to reduce the risk of serious injury. The United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) has promised to $100,000 to sponsor new helmet studies. Additional studies on the efficacy of air vests should be conducted to help inform riders about their choices in safety gear. The more data available means better and more informed decisions can be made.

is horse racing cruel

As more manufacturers reduce cost and create better designs, we will begin to see more riders using this equipment. Additionally, as the benefits of these protective airbag vests become more known, we can expect more and more riders voluntarily wearing them.

There has been heaps of progress within the last 10 years alone in regards to protective equipment – especially with airbag technology. This shows that steps are being taken to protect riders and athletes. It is undeniable that air vests add an extra layer of protection, but it is crucial to remember that safety does not eliminate risk. Improvements can be made to increase safety measures but it really comes down to the riders abilities and limitations.
