Russia Assures Terrorists That They Will Reap Revenge For Bombed Plane

Experts in Russia have confirmed that a bomb attack took down a Russian airplane over the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt last month. The attack killed all 224 people on the aircraft. Russian President Vladimir Putin has promised that the country will seek revenge for the attack. The Islamic State has already claimed responsibility for the devastating attack. President Putin said in a meeting with Russian defense experts, “It is not the first time that Russia confronts barbarous terrorist crimes. The murder of our people in Sinai is among the bloodiest crimes in terms of victims. We will not wipe away the tears from our soul and hearts. This will stay with us forever but will not stop us finding and punishing the criminals. We will search for them anywhere they might hide. We will find them in...

Obama To Visit Laos, 20 Years After Dropping 2M Tons Of Bombs On It

Next year, United State President Barack Obama is planning to visit the Southeast Asian country of Laos in order to attend a regional economic conference. In doing so, President Obama will become the first United States President to ever visit Laos. While Laos is known for having a relatively poor economy, the country is said to be rapidly improving in this regard. The country was heavily bombed by the United States during the Vietnam War. The announcement of President Obama’s upcoming visit was made by National Security aide Ben Rhodes, who also recently visited Laos. Rhodes has said that his own visit helped to start the process for Vientiane’s 2016 chairmanship of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Later this month, President Obama will travel to Malaysia in or...

US To Make Consolation Payments To Families Of Deceased And Injured In Afghanistan Hospital Airstrike

The U.S government will compensate those killed and injured after a U.S. air strike fighter jet repeatedly bombed a Medicins Sans Frontieres (MSF) hospital located in Northern Afghanistan. The bombings which have been condemned by the international community and the Afghan government have put the future of U.S military assistance to Afghanistan on shaky ground. The U.S Pentagon announced on Saturday that it would make “condolence payments” to the families of those killed and injured during the air strike on an MSF hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan, on Oct. 3. In a statement on Saturday, Pentagon spokesperson Peter Cook said, it was important to address the consequences of the tragic incident at the Doctors Without Borders hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan. Cook also said, “US Forces-Afghani...

Doctors Without Borders Demanding An Investigation Into Its Bombed Hospital

Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), which is commonly known in the United States as “Doctors Without Borders”, wants an investigation to be conducted on the deadly bombing of its hospital located in Kunduz, Afghanistan by the United States. MSF is calling this destruction a crime of war. The United States has already accepted responsibility for the attack, which it says was a mistake. The hospital was reportedly being attacked by Taliban fighters, who were essentially using the building as a human shield. As per their philosophy, MSF staff had to treat anyone who was injured, regardless of what side of the conflict they were on. The United States attacked the hospital in an effort to flush out Taliban forces. The charitable organization will inquire more into the matter before decidin...

Demands For Russia To Stop Involvement In Syria Grow After Bombings Continue

Russia has unleashed airstrikes against Syria for the third day in a row on Friday, and many Western leaders are quickly growing tired of the country’s involvement in the region. Russia claims that it is targeting the Islamic State, but it is really attacking areas that are held by Syrian rebel groups. Russia is taking these actions in an effort to keep Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in office. A coalition led by the United States to fight against ISIS has demanded that Russia immediately stop its attacks against targets other than ISIS. The coalition includes the United States, major European powers, certain Arab countries, and Turkey. The coalition said in a statement, “We call on the Russian Federation to immediately cease its attacks on the Syrian opposition and civilians...

Chinese Bombing Suspect Has Been Confirmed Dead

The individual responsible for a series of bomb attacks in the Liuzhou prefecture of China has been confirmed as dead. Wei Yinyong was killed in an explosion of his own doing on Wednesday. Wei was 33 years old. Wei produced several time bombs, some of which he delivered to locations in Liucheng County himself. Others he delivered using parcel services. Some of the places which received the bombs included hospitals, shopping malls, government offices, and prisons. By sending the bombs to crowded places, it suggests that his goal was to kill as many people as possible. Meanwhile, authorities increased the death count from the blasts from seven people to ten people. An additional 51 people have also been injured. Authorities believe that Wei orchestrated the attacks because he ...

U.S. Accuses Russia Of Not Using Precision Weapons in Syria And Targeting Rebel Areas Instead Of ISIS

In an attempt to bring Russia under international condemnation following the start of its air campaign in Syria Wednesday, the U.S. Air Force pointed out that the Russia’s lack of precision-guided weapons would lead to considerable civilian casualties. The U.S. wars in the Middle East have themselves come under scrutiny due to allegations of civilian casualties, which can sometimes be unavoidable. Lt. Gen. Robert Otto accused the Russian forces of conducting the recent airstrikes in the area north of Homs, a rebel area not under ISIS control. Otto stated, “To me, it was representative of what you’d expect from dumb bombs, being dropped from airplanes at medium altitudes, which is not that impressive.” Russian government officials stated that civilian casualties were inevitable, but the ...

China Rocked By Multiple Severe Bombings With Seven Dead

China has been attacked by multiple bomb explosions in the past few days. The first attack consisted of 17 major bomb explosions that killed at least seven people, while wounding an additional 51. The attack took place in the prefecture of Liuzhou. A 33 year old individual with the last name of Wei has been identified as the most likely suspect for this attack. Wei was detained by Chinese authorities, who have not yet identified a motivation for the attack. But perhaps more troubling is that a second attack occurred one day later in Liucheng. The attack destroyed a residential building, but no casualties have been reported at this time. Authorities in China do not yet have a suspect in the second attack. The suspect of the first attack was already in custody when the second att...

According to witnesses, who wished to remain anonymous due to fear of reprisals, the explosion occurred at the Yantaya Mosque and came as a leading cleric preached peaceful co-existence to a crowd during the holy month of Ramadan. The other explosion occurred at Shagalinku, a restaurant frequented by the country's elite politicians. Jos is located at the intersection of Nigeria's majority Muslim north and Christian so...
