Updated: A shooting at the Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, OR has killed 10 people with an additional 20 wounded.

The 20 year old suspect in the shooting, who has not been identified, has been confirmed as dead.

According to Oregon State Police spokesman Bill Fugate officers and the gunman traded fire. At least four guns believed to the be the shooter’s were recovered at the scene.

A spokesperson from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the shooting took place. No further details have been provided at this time.

A tweet from the Douglas County Fire Department revealed that the shooting was a “code 4”. Multiple casualties were confirmed, and several ambulances quickly arrived on the scene.

Officers reportedly responded to the shooting at around 10:40 am Pacific Time. Traffic from police scanners confirmed that the shooter was taken down.

A spokesperson for Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg said that the hospital is the only one in the town, and most patients are likely to arrive at the facility.

Police officials are looking through the campus, searching for additional evidence.

Agents from the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives are currently heading to the city.

Roseburg, OR has a population of about 20,000 people. It is roughly 260 miles south of Portland.
